Battery Replacement 1. Using a small slotted screw- driver, insert into slot located on the side of the unit as shown and carefully pry the front of the unit up, working your way around the edge until the front is completely separated from the housing. Note: Make sure that the small elastomer contact located inside the unit as shown does not fall out during the replacement process. 2. Turn the circuit board over, remove batteries from clip and replace. 3. Note: Verify that the battery polarity is correct when replac- ing. Batteries are stacked in series and polarity is indicated. check the alarm wiring for the lock and unlock.

take off the siren and connect it to the battery, if it works check the alarm wiring. if the wiring is good check the output of the siren.

from the siren 2 cables come out, one black and the other red, the red one goes to the siren output (brown wire)

are your brake lights functioning properly? remote starts sometimes use this as a fail safe, or a bent hood pin switch? Make sure the purple starter wire is connected on the starter side of the optional starter kill/anti-grind relay. 5. Does the vehicle have an immobilizer? Some immobilizer systems will not allow the vehicle to crank if active. 6. Check connections. The heavy gauge remote start input wires on the heavy gauge 10-pin connector should have a solid connection. "T-taps" or "scotch locks" are not recommended for any high current heavy gauge wiring. good luck.

It could be your alarm system. And it might be Factory one. just see if its easy to open the cover of that box, so that light should have two legs. just cut them off and take the light out. But if its Factory fitted so i sugguest you to leave it.

The disarm wire is in the driver kick panel, in the harness coming in from the driver door. It's a thin brown wire.

Does it power up (meaning do you see the dash light come on)? Does it turn the starter?

Check your siren to see if you have a black and, a black and white wire. To increase the volume (delete soft chirp) cut the black wire, cut the black with white wire to delete multi-tone.

Since you don't mention the year, make and model of the vehicle, I will be just as vague in my assumptions. It could be an immobilizer issue or, a tachometer issue.

The buttons for lock, unlock and trunk open are clearly marked. the asterisk controls the remote starter (if available). press and release one time, the parking light should flash one time confirming receipt of the command. If one time doesn't work, press the button twice.

Valet switch for what?

Is this issue recent or, always existed?

Do you mean that the lights flash when the vehicle is under remote starter power? If so, this a programmable feature. The lights can be programmed for constant on or, flashing.
