Fountainhead/Burgess Prod Black Flag Propane Fogger Questions & Answers
Burgess fogger parts
Need a new piston or plunger, that pumps fogger oil into my Burgess 1443 fogger. Not having much luck, can you help!
Machine seems clogged
Hello, i just finished a successful repair. i did have to take it apart, and there were springs and ss balls(at fog liquid pickup end that i unscrewed to give easy access to blocked pipe) and such so work where parts won't be easily lost and pay attention during disassembly. The problem with mine(several years old) was blockage in the metal line(pipe) that carries the fogger liquid. i used carborator cleaner and a compressor hose with low pressure. i sprayed in the cleaner and then put air pressure each way back and forth till it eventually yet suddenly cleared out then allowed unobstructed passage. then flushed it to clean it well. BE CAREFUL, it can suddenly spray the cleaner out, safety glasses saved me from a bad accident but my face and lips were stinging from the cleaner, and that was with the end facing away from me(but into a bucket and it bounced back at me). Anyway, reassembly took a bit but now it fogs great again. Mine might be a different manufacturer(burgess) but most likely the same basic scenario. Best wishes
Trigger is not pumping properly
The plunger needs a new leather, but question is where can you buy it. The problem is caused by the side pull on the plunger causing it to wear unevenly to one side. Could be solved in the manufacture if they would build the trigger to pull it up evenly.
