You better let a camera repair person attempt this, you may do a lot of damage to the camera.

Try restarting it a couple of times. If that doesn't make the error go away, the camera needs to be serviced. There is a really good site and all they service are Powershots. They are wonderful if you need to get service for one of these Canon Powershot cameras and they are really reasonable for the cost. Your problem is on their site. What do you have the white balance set to? What happens if you change to another setting?

Having gone nearly two months without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

Inside the front cover there is a small watch like battery, it is probably dead.

Just bought a Canon SX210, I can take only a couple of shots before the Camera gives Camera error E32 and shuts down, this is a consistent. Any hints?
