Slide the hold switch to hold then off, hold then off. Now press the play/pause menu button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Usually 5 to 10 seconds. You may have to repeat this a few times if it is not working. Or you can connect the ipod again and disconnect it the proper way (not saying that you did not the previous time). If that does not work try looking online at Apple support. The above worked for my ipod.

I probably have the same type charger / player that I also purchased from Wal Mart. If it plays your ipod it should also charge it. Make sure the lock button on the ipod is unlocked and it's turned off. If that does not work keep it unlocked and leave it on. On systems like we have that are not iHomes they sometimes have trouble figuring out what brand they need to charge.

Connect your ipod to Windows System which has installed iTunes Then connect you ipod & Remove all music from Itune Library & after that sync you ipod with itunes then all music will be deleted from ipod.

I think its linux system problem so don't use linux.

Once you plug in your ipod, it'll launch itunes. On your itunes, you'll see your device's name there. Click and drag the songs from your itunes, going to your device. That should sync the songs and will let you see the songs on your ipod.

It may be the type of file you're playing on it. See on my ipod, I was trying to play a episode of family guy. Sadly, the file was bad. I had to remove it off my ipod and find another place to download it from. That's what you may have to do

In order to delete songs you either:

In iTunes:

Remove the song by clicking on the line in your library and pressing the delete (del) key and answering yes to delete.

or

Uncheck the song, and under iPod settings click to only sync checked songs. Either way when you resync the song should not be there.

You'll need a usb cord for this operation. If you have access to a computer that DOESN'T have iTunes, plug it in and in that computer enable the viewing of hidden files. (You need to go into File Options in the control panel as administrator. The iPod should read as a drive. Do a search for "_locked" and move it off of the iPod folder. Properly eject the iPod. You should be able to get into it. To reset your iPod, do a firmware reflash. These instructions are on Apple.com. Good luck.

try restoring from itunes if that doesnt work have it serviced.

You need to connect the Ipod to your pc/ and open itunes from here you can modify/delete songs from your playlists and what you sync to your ipod.... hope this helps

Probably the easiest way to do this is to download itunes and then import CDs onto itunes and then plug in the ipod and once it comes up unedr devices you can you the music tab to control what music you want to put onto the ipod. Hope this helps
