You need to format mp3 player memory as per instructions given in This Sony Manual then transfer mp3 files through Sonic Stage software in mp3 player to solve the issue.

You need to install Sonic Stage software in computer that can be downloaded from Sony Support site as per OS running in PC then connect walkman with computer and transfer mp3 files in it, Sonic Stage will create that database files automatically to solve the issue. Download related info as well.

ok the first link will show you how to remove the battery step by step and also shows you a link to get a battery which i could not find on the website , but you might be able to call them and ask if they carry it .

**Drag and Drop**
Connect your MP3 player to the computer. Some MP3 players connect directly to a USB port,
while others connect to a USB port by way of a specific USB connector that comes with the
MP3 player. Open the folder on the computer that contains the music files you want to
transfer. This is usually the "My Music" folder, available from the "Start" menu, but it can
be any folder where you save your music files. Scroll down to the song you want to transfer
to the MP3 player. Right-click on the title. When the options are displayed, click on "Send
To." Scroll down the "Send To" options and select your MP3 player. This can be listed as
your MP3 player's name or as "Removable Drive." Click on this selection. Continue this
process until you have transferred all songs that you want to your MP3 player.
--**Windows Media Player**--
If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player,
such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open
Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your
Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin
Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will
sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs
have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right
side of the desktop tray.

The motor might be broken and is not working and will have to be replaced in your walkman.

Try removing any covers that you can without breaking anything, then fill a container with uncooked rice and push the player into the rice and cover the container. Leave it like this for a week or so.

Either the left headphone is shot or the headphone jack is messed up. Try a different set of head phones if its same result see about replacing the jack.

Hi Brian, It would seem obvious to contact Sony customer support. Failing that, you need to have access to another phone (in English) and use that as a "template" to work through the settings menu.

Probably suffered damp ingress while in storage, and thus some conductive internal corrosion; use a test meter to see if there's any leakage when it's switched off and take it from there... Either that or use AA Nimh rechargeable batteries

The charger/PC connectivity connector on iPad and other non-Apple products are different. Any way, most of devices use 5V DC current to charge, so if u have an iPad -> micro USB connector converter (which is cheap and can be found easily everywhere on online market), then yes, it will charge.

did you try the hard reset button thats located behind the player? that could have got struck due to dust. Clean it before punching it.

update your system drivers and media player. then plug in your player to system
