How old is the battery. It may not be holding a charge because it is so old. Try holding down F12 during boot up to see if it offers you a battery recalibration option. If it does, follow the on screen instructions to the letter. Best of luck

If you have a copy somewhere of C:\SwSetup folder from Vista, you have all pre-installed Vista software for your model.Should find there HP QuickPlay,etc. This software will also work under Win7.

This Linkseems to provide the best thorough approach to getting those drivers installed & working.However, someone claims, on this forum page(last post on the page) that all you need to do is use the "windows online driver search" function, and it will handle all of the messy work of locating, downloading & installing.

This could be a simple matter of a ribbon cable coming loose but since it effects two different devices on separate ribbons I would have to look at the motherboard as the cause. You are going to have to open the machine and check the connects and check for something spilled inside.

Hi there you need to format the operating system and install a fresh copy on the PC for solving the problem.

reinstall your pc, not as repair modde but with new instalation mode, but your data at drive C: will formated, back up it first before you reinstall

Hi you need to change the settings for the computer for it to work without going into standby. I can give you the information for this, but you need to tell me what operating system are you using?, and if the keyboard stop working it is either the connection in the computer is not properly connected or you need a new keyboard.

It sounds like the hibernate feature is missing from the power options list. Click on start button, select shut down, and then hold shif or ctrl and stand by should change to hibernate.

Choose to scan your system to get the Exact Internal Identification. Then compare it with the sticker. try removing the battery then return it back in place and give it a try.

There could be a problem with the battery. A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.

If this did not work, try also disassembling the laptop & make sure that all main components are seated properly. Also make sure that all ribbon cables interconnecting the various components of the laptop are tightly connected.

Depending on how handy you are... my friend ordered a replacement LCD screen for laptop and self-installed. Check ebay or other on-line sources for part.
