My lenovo T400 will not start up
A less frequent situation that can happen in a laptop resulting in it not booting up is a damaged USB port. If the pins are touching the system will not start up. You can fix this problem by using a small flat blade screw driver, tweezers or micro needle nose pliers to carefully separate and reform the contacts so they do not touch. This is not a permanent fix because the USB port will become unusable. To fully fix it would require you to replace the system board, which may or may not be covered under your warrenty.

Hi,
My Lenovo T400 with Windows 7 Home Premium
Hello. It appears that you have a problem with your motherboard or the BIOS on your motherboard. When you get the Lenovo logo, there should be a few F# options. Find the one that says "Enter Setup" or something along those lines. You want to try and access the BIOS and see if your motherboard is still working, or if it needs to be replaced. If that does not work, turn off your computer, and unscrew the cover over the RAM. Take out the RAM and reseat it. If that does not fix your problem, I think your motherboard is fried.

Take out the battery, memory, hard drive, and DVD drive. See:

for instructions.
With those items removed, connect the system to power and see if anything changes. If there is still no sound and no lights, the system needs to go in for service.
If you get some beeps, try adding one stick of memory back in. If there's no change, try the other stick (if you have one).
If the situation improves, start adding devices back one at a time.

How do I replace a key that fell off my Lenova
Only way is to find another keyboard that is broke and take the key off of that and put it on yours. Otherwise you have to buy another keyboard.
Actually this Ebay seller sells keys for IBM keyboards so you wouldn't have to buy the whole keyboard:

Or you can buy a whole new keyboard here:

You have at least a couple of options.
