Hello, My laptop will not start the windows

blue-gw42ordsyt3sl3dyidksgpsd-2-0.png In Figure 2-2 you can also see that the Windows service SPCMDCON.SYS has failed. From the BSOD, you should be able to gather the following information: •The stop error number, which uniquely identifies the error •The stop error parameters, which provide additional information relating to the specific stop error number •Driver information is available if the source of the problem relates to drivers Armed with this information, you are able to search online to establish the problem and hopefully a resolution. In addition to the information available on the blue screen, if the system is able to be rebooted after the BSOD, either normally or using Safe Mode, it is useful to take a look in the System Event Log and view the error message. For example, a faulty driver during boot up usually has the stop error code STOP: 0x00000050 and an Error EventID of 1003. If your system refuses to reboot successfully, or is trapped within a perpetual BSOD that restarts over and over again, you should take the following steps. Press F8 after the BIOS screen appears. From Advanced Boot Options, select Disable automatic restart on system failure, as shown in Figure 2-3. This allows you to read and make note of the information contained on the BSOD. You can then allow Windows to attempt a reboot. If the perpetual loop reoccurs, select another option, such as Safe Mode, from the Advanced Boot Options menu. If the perpetual loop reoccurs, select another option, such as Safe Mode, from the Advanced Boot Options menu. boot-gw42ordsyt3sl3dyidksgpsd-2-2.png To disable the system from automatically rebooting, take the following steps: 1.Click Start, right-click Computer, and select Properties. 2.Click Advanced System Settings. 3.In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings. 4.In the System Failure box, clear the Automatically Restart check box. These steps can also be configured if the system is booted in Safe Mode. There are over 300 unique stop codes, and most are quite rare. The full list can be found on MSDN within the Bug Checks (Blue Screens) reference at https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh994433(v=vs.85).aspx.

Hi,

The Camera driver is integrated with the Vista OS, so installing the Original ArcSoft WebCam Companion Software should resolve the issue with the camera. Here is the link:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNNS140ES&upd_id=3790&os_id=28

To resolve the issue with the Function keys, reinstall the VAIO Event Services:

Skype can't detect my webcam - Laptop model sony

Hi,

If the imaging device is missing in the device manager, it is generally considered to be an hardware related issue. But, there are chances even in this situation the camera has worked after performing some troubleshooting steps:

Try opening the preinstalled ArcSoft WebCam Companion Software in the computer and check if there also you are getting the message, " Camera device not found".

If so then the issue may be resolved by reinstalling the Camera driver. In your case the computer uses inbox driver shipped with the OS. But, as it is Sony try reinstall the original ArcSoft WebCam Companion® Software from the esupport website.

If that also doesn't work, download and install the Camera driver:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNNS140ES&upd_id=4257&os_id=7

While installing the above driver, the computer may prompt an error this update is not for your computer model.

In that case, extract the setup file of the above driver using the Universal Extractor and then run teh setup, this usually works!!!!.

Download the Universal Extractor from the link below:

http://www.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=56951&t=4&i=1

Thanks!!!!

Might be the webcam is not supported by Windows 7 (yet). If it is, there should be a driver for it on the Sony website.
You can try using a driver finder program to locate a compatible driver.

Do a system restore back to the last date they worked. If that does not fix the issue, see next step.
If it runs on Vista,go to the microsoft website and type fixit into the search.Select the fixit tool, select audio/sound issues, and run the tool.It might find the problem and correct it.If that fails, update the BIOS.If that fails,do a system recovery after you back up the data,if the speakers don't work after all of that, you might have a hardware issue.
Good luck.

I want to install linux and have dual boot to my

You can try this to get the bios to default value by removing the battery. remove it for 30 min the put it back .You must fully unplug any power cable during the process. Or look to the motherboard somewhere near your battery there should be a jumper placed in two pin.if there is no third pin just take out the jumper then place it back .if there is a thrid jumper just place it in 2-3 position then back to normal position .do not forget to fully switch off your pc or laptop.you run the risk of runing your motherboard if u clear the cmos with powered up motherboard.
