Hello.. It is Very Possible that you have what is called a 'RECOVERY PARTITION', which has the rerecovery disk information installed on your Hard Drive. This eliminates having to use a CD. Unless you are a repair whizz - don't try to take it to pieces.
Try a repair shop - but they might say that its not worth repairing at the age it is.
Sadly we are in a throwaway society.

try repairing Windows it will fix the boot manager.

well... If I were you, I'd go to www.ubuntu.com and order a free CD from them.

after I get it, I'd boot it up, and try to recover my data through its Live Operating system.

After that, I'd get a copy of windows (or whatever OS You are using) and Format completelly the hard drive (Since I already backed up the data, there shouldn't be a problem) and just install it.

if you're asking "can it be done" then the answer is yes but it is not easy. if your asus is still under warranty, adding an msata drive or RAM on the otherside of the motherboard will void your warranty, if that is not your question, please elaborate.

The problem is either defect ram or vga. Typical on this model. Try replacing the ram first, pretty easy to do.

The G-series are the gamer (RoG) series by Asus. It might be a G53, atleast that one has a 15" lcd. Of course there are previous RoG's with 15" too, and they tend to hold their cost-level.
