idle adjust screw on the carburetors to raise the isle enough it wont kill. If the carbs are dirty use a fuel system cleaner in the tank like Chevron Techron to clean the varnish/gum out of the carbs.
...and if its running rough then it may be starving for fuel at idle. Try adjusting you mixture screw and see it the engine will smoot out. Your carb my be dirty and not allowing enough fuel through
