CLUTCH slips on 2004 vulcan CLUTCH SLIPS WHY?? clutch adjustment or worn clutch plates will cause this , check adjustment ok then if no change replace plates !

friction disc's and clutch plates in exact same order as old one sit's in there. Then fill'er back up with some fresh oil and adjust it out. Be sure to leave a little free play at the lever. Good luck

clutch not disengaging Check the clutch adjustment. If the lever has more freeplay in it than the thickness of a quarter at the perch then it needs to be adjusted.

...If in a hot area like Texas or New Mexico go with 20w50. If the clutch still slips then go to a different mechanic and have him adjust the clutch. The first guy doesn't know what he is talking

...problem but change it anyway and the filter. The problem is the clutch may need to be replaced or adjusted. Also check gear box for noises there maybe more trouble. Good
