...for a transmission to make a noise in only one gear. I've found that if a transmission is making a noise, it makes the noise all the time but maybe louder at some speeds than others. Good Luck ...

your in higher gears with no noise I would think that it is transmission/gear issues and not engine(piston/rod) issues. If the bike gets abused or stunted chances are the first couple of gears are bad
