2002 Lincoln LS will not start right off first thing in morning, or after been sitting for 3-4 hours. What could cause problem?

My 2002 lincoln ls starts fine when cold but if it sits for about 45minutes to an hour it will crank for about 5 to 10 seconds before starting. When it runs the engine runs great.
