2001 Chrysler Town & Country "signs bad transmission speed sensor" Questions

transmission jerks really bad going into 2nd gear, all of the other gears change really smoothly, but its just second gear. It mainly does it when i drive off slow, and it jerks really bad when i make

...its the output speed sensor. but then again dodge has had issues with wires breaking or being melted if to close to the exhaust. look for visible signs of bad wires.
