CD445 On my base unit +handset the red light keeps blinking ,how do i turn it off i still have flashing red light and the message now reads phillips new message how do i get this message what number ...

CD445, the red light and NEW MESSAGE sign still flash. There are no messages. Apparently the phone company had a switch failure of some kind and since then this has happened. How do we correct? Hello.
