JVC Everio GZ-HD7 Camcorder "directions put batteries" Questions

JVC Video camera GZ-HD7U does not run off of new (tested GOOD) batteries. Only runs off direct plugin. Is there a fuse or something I can fix to have it run off the battery? Don't suggest new batterie
