Panasonic PV-GS31 Mini DV Digital Camcorder "cleaning" Questions

...one day it has no sound and the video has choppy picture with little square pixels. I have tried cleaning it with head cleaner tape with no results. Please help?? It is a Panasonic PV-GS32.
