Takes photo and then nothing Camera acts like it is taking a photo. Shutter fires, flash goes off but photo is black. Looks like I left the lens cap on. I have switched lenes same problem. Any ideas? ...

shuts the camera down. If I turn the camera off then back on it will be fine for a few minutes or so. I check the battery meter and both batteries are fully (or close to full) charged. I took the grip

my D80 won't power back on. while taking pictures it shut down, no LCD, no display, no response. This may be due to a faulty battery. Make sure you change to a fully charged Nikon battery and retry.

keeps shutting down If it is a power problem, then try a different battery. If it tells you to take out the battery and try again it is usually cause dby a failure of the mirror box motor.
