2013 Hyundai Elantra "car unlocks remote start work" Questions

remote stopped working. how can i get the car to start when the alarm goes off. and i have a remote for a 2009 elantra will that remote work if i get the alarm reprogramed for the 2009 remote when the

car started going off. Unlocking and locking the doors, putting the key in the ignition, etc did not work. Finally I disconnected the alarm from the battery, but when i reconnect it it goes off again.
