drips on hot side, not cold side? have to replace the cartridge..hot water softens rubber and causes it to leak first...check the left side port on valve to make sure no burrs or bites in metal eating

hot and cold water control mechanisms. I have taken the tops off, removed the screw and cover and further unscrewed the long tube-like piece but do not see any way to further tighten the valve to stop
