size gasket ( it was a part for a Nissan auto ) , used Permatex silicone gasket sealer, put all parts together, tightened the nut real tight, made all electrical connections, tested the pot with water

nut onto each one (and just barely, at that). Since my boiler was somewhat encrusted with calcium deposits, I decided to sandblast it to clean it up. You can probably get this done at a nearby machine
