Yes it wil not let you run your motorhome out of fuel they set it up that way so you dont strand yourself you may have a air bubble in the fuel line to the generator try blowing air generator fule line back into the tank

Hi Garrett. The symptom your describing is due to a fault detection shutdown.
Faults:
Low Oil Pressure
Low Oil Level
High Temp
Low or High Generator voltage output.
Low or High frequency output Below 55Hz and above 64 HZ
Any one of those faults will terminate the run cycle by cutting off 12VDC to the fuel pump and Carb solenoid.

Check your oil level and make sure it is completely serviced to the full mark. I tend to think that during the removal and reinstallation process the oil level changed just a bit as it was fine before removal of the unit and had a problem after you re-installed it.
Also check the generator output voltage by having a meter connected to the output terminals of the generator as you do a start. If you have a voltage problem the fault circuit will be activated and the unit will shut down. Take a look at the starter solenoid to make sure you have all the wires connected properly. You could very well have the 2 smaller wires reversed on the solenoid.
