Can I buy a return ait filter grill for Dometic heat pump

If your 1976 Dodge F40 Sportmann RV starts up only when you put gas directly in the carburetor, there might be an issue with the fuel delivery system. Here are a few things you can check:

I will assume you have a dometic Refrigerator. Go to the Dometic site online with your Model number. That will lead you to a complete PDF FILE of your manual. Good Luck. Also...if the trailer is not level, the unit will not cool correctly and always plug your Refrigerator in a couple of days before you go on a trip to cool it down. Good Luck

Check the expansion tank for proper level of glycol heat transfer fluid. When hot it must be between the low and high level markes. Your expansion tank may be hidden behind a panel depending on manufacturer.

If level is low, you may have an air bubble in the system. Add antifreeze and find circulator pump. Turn pump up to high and set thermostat to highest temperature to force pump to run. Open bleeders found in one or more places in heating system to release air pockets. Leave pump on for 1/2 hour or so to gradually remove all air from system and release through expansion tank. Refill tank as necessary keeping level between high and low marks.

Turn pump speed back to normal for your comfort - mine gurgles in expansion tank if set above 2 on the adjustment knob found on face of pump motor.

Some programmable thermostats may have a battery backup under the cover. Check your owners manual to see if this applies or remove the cover too find out for yourself. If the programming is dependent upon the battery it your camper for it's memory, check to make sure the battery disconnect in closed/on to keep the memory settings stored. Worst case scenario, you might want to consider buying a new thermostat that does have an internal battery backup, but they are not cheap.

ok, been a while so lets ee if I can get this all down.

1 - Drain water from your holding tank and remove drain plug in hot water heater. Drain holding tanks ( Waste )
2- turn on bypass for hot water heater ( instruction if needed )
3 - Get yourself some winterizing fluid ( can't remember exact name ) from your local Dealer . 2 or 3 gallons should be good
4- Poor this fluid into your water rez tank. All of it
5 - now go around to EVERY tap in your trailer ( one at a time ) and turn on cold water until water runs pink ( or what ever colour fluid you bought ) Close faucet them do the same for hot water tap. Repeat this at every faucet. Even the ones outside if you have any.
6 Don't forget to flush toilet in water runs pink.
7. Ensure all gas vales have been turned off ( tank vales included )

If you did everything right you should be good to go.

While not familiar with that particular model, it will be easy to locate. Just turn it on and listen. It WILL make some noise.

Some are accessed from an outside panel, under a bed or cabinet, thru an access panel inside, outside or a storage compartment outside.

I would syphon out the water and tighten the awning. If the fabric has stretched too much from the sagging, you may need to add a stabilizer or replace it.
