I have a 2001 Suzuki RM 125, it won't start but has a good spark a new air filter and i've cleaned the carb. I even set reset the throttle and air screw to 1.5 turns out, the carb floats don't seem to be jamming, what could the problem be?.

the way you explain this, the fuel and air mix is wrong, is the spark plug wet, if it is check the carb air mix screw. remove the mix screw and use a can of air and blow it out. before doing this remove the air filter and the spark plug then spray some wd (brand name) in hole and do again with the air can. then screw back in. leave the air filter off. and put spark plug back in and start the engine you will need to adjust the screw until you can get it to start. when it does give it a few good revs and keep it running for a bit. replace the filter and start engine and you will need to adjust the air screw till the engine sounds right again.
Does the engine have good compression? The ring in a 125 does not last very long - the bike could be down on compression pressure. Re-ring it.
Is your air filter clean? I've seen them so filthy that they were actually brittle. Check your air filter.
How about your spark plug? They do burn out. Replace with a new one.
If it's loaded up, pull the plug, hold the throttle wide open and kick the snot out of it about 20 times, then put a fresh plug in it and try it again.
If your confident of a good spark, then your issue is fuel delivery. Try raising the slide needle by going down one notch on the needle. Jets and needle seats should be cleaned in a good quality carburettor cleaning solvent. Jets should be replaced if suspect. Check condition of reeds. Is the airbox and filter in good condition. Check for leaks around inlet manifold. Goodluck, cheers!
hi buddy spark plug gap should be 0.32 / 0.8mm and the compression should be 125-185psi try cleaning air filter also on carb is a screw turn this all the way in and unscrew 1 1/2 turns out and try this you will always get a bog at low rpm iff you throttle quickley get back to me
Turn the air screw and throttle screw all the way inward. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two adjusters down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each adjuster one and one half turns outward. The carb is now set back to factory specs assuming no one has changed out the main jet or played with the float level.. Please rate this solution. Thanks!

Clean and dry the air filter? Go back to a stock main jet, at least to check things out? Are "O" ring seals on the main jet going bad?Partial internal collapse in exhaust (remove exhaust pipe & do a quick run down the alley), Install a new stock NGK spark plug, Be sure battery connections are clean and tight, Be sure intake manifold and carb are good and tight.
