Engine revs but no acceleration

Clutch plate and pressure plate seem to be too weak to pull the car. Or one of the CV joints is detached from the gear box. To test the clutch plate, park the car on flat surface. Pull the hand brake up, start the car, depress the foot brake pedal, depress the clutch pedal, put the car in 1st gear, press the gas pedal and leave the clutch pedal at once, while keeping the brake pedal depressed.
Follow one of the two following statements:
1. Engine does not shut down and remain start. (Clutch plate, pressure plate and clutch bearing defective - Replace all as a set)
2. Engine shuts down. (Clutch system is OK and does not require any repair).

Error code p1271 on trailblazer

That trouble code is faulting the accelerator pedal sensor. The APP sensors are located in a TAC module mounted to the accelerator pedal bracket. There are three individual APP sensors within the TAC module. Three separate signal circuits, low reference circuits, and 5v reference circuits are used to determine the accelerator pedal position. The APP sensor signal voltages increase when the accelerator pedal is depressed.

There is a whirring noise and the gears don't seem to be kicking in. The car is an slk automatic

It seems that your clutch plates have worn out. The automatic gears system uses a centrifugal clutch which automatically engages as the engine rpm increases. If the the plates are worn out, it will make a whirring sound as you rev the engine & there will be a loss of power transmitted to the wheels resulting in slow pick up of speed. Get the clutch plate assembly replaced.........sodeep

When to change clutch plate of lancer2004. i mean after how many km

If you are a good clutch driver and carefully use it only to shift, it could easily go 250,000 km. If you hold the car in place on a hill using the clutch instead of the brake , expect to get maybe 60,000 km. Your driving technique (hot rodding versus gas miser) will dictate how long the clutch plate will last.

I have a 91 yota pickup with the 22re. It is a 5 speed manual, over the last couple days i have started noticing a noise which is now much louder and more pronounced, at first i thought it was suspension...

These year models are known for fatigue crack on the upper clutch pedal bracket. This bracket is welded to the dash frame and holds the cluth pedal. To inspect, use a flashlight and point upward illuminating the steel plate. Use your other hand to press on the clutch pedal while observing for plate movement or cracks on the plate itself. If the plate has a crack, its allowing the entire clutch pedal to swivel reducing cylinder and slave travel. If damaged, it must be welded with additional metal plates for increase strength.

2000 saab 93. Slow acceleration out of gears, especially first.

Car picks up speed if you accelerate slowly, but the engine races, with minimal speed increase of the vehicle, when the throttle pedal is pushed harder? I'm not aware of the typical layout of the Saab, so while these things below are what I would suggest you look at... Not all will apply. Note that if the clutch plate is worn or otherwise slipping, the more you race the engine, the sooner will you burn off any remaining clutch life. Take things easy 'till you have a solution..... On any vehicle, this is a classic sign of a worn, damaged, or out of adjustment clutch. Or Possibly oil contamination from a leaking crankshaft rear oil seal. It causes a glaze on the linings of the driven plate and loses friction. Or The clutch pedal is not returning to it's normal rest position when released. Check for objects trapped between the pedal and the vehicle surfaces. Or The cable (if used)may be binding, thus the clutch doesn't fully return. It may be out of adjustment. Check for adjusting points at the cable ends. If no slack exists in the cable, it appears as though the clutch is worn. The clutch may be self adjusting. It's possible for self adjusters to seize. Or The hydraulic system (if used),has sticking cylinders. You may be able to clean and reuse the cylinders....
