Left bleaker and break light not working. Turn signal works bleaks faster than right side.

Has the vehicle been in an accident on the left rear side. First check the bulb to be sure it is not defective, trade it out with the side that works properly to test. If the bulb works well then My thought are you may have a shorted wire. The turn signal flasher works by heat build up within the flasher the heat is caused by the load of the bulbs, the load heats the metal spring causing it to open the circuit then as quickly as it cools down the circuit closes again lighting the bulbs.
There is also a possibility of a defect in the turn signal mechanism on the steering column. The turn signal switch on many models does three different things on many models that use the same bulb element / or bulb for brake and turn on rear of vehicle. It controls the circuit for brake light by sending power both left and right side rear when turn signal is in neutral position then when turn signal is in left turn the switch cancels brake light power to left side rear and supplies flasher power to left side while maintaining brake light supply to the right side rear, and so on opposite when the right turn is chosen on turn signal switch. The turn signal indicators on the dash normally run off the same circuit as front turn signal bulb only which is also controlled by turn signal switch. Front has turn signals but no brake light.
I think there is an additional load on the left side rear turn circuit and it could be either a wire that is shorted or the turn signal switch if the same bulb element is used for both functions.
Often times if trailer lighting is connected the flasher will also blink a little faster because of the extra load of additional bulbs.

My left front blinker flashes quickly. - The left

Check for power at the socket. If there is no power I would suspect the flasher relay wich supplies power to each bulb individually after it gets the right or left signal from the switch.

Front panel configuration

Motherboard installed in computer case;
Processor to the Top, 3 Ram Memory slots to the Right, 5 white PCI slots to the Bottom;

Down in the Bottom/Right corner, is JFP1, and JFP2.

The Front Panel header is JFP1. (Junction Front Panel 1)
The header with two rows of pins, and is positioned Horizontal. It is parallel to the bottom of the motherboard.

(The other Front Panel header is JFP2. It is positioned Vertical, and is above JFP1. You may be using it also. Read on)

There are two rows of pins for JFP1.
5 across the Top, 4 across the Bottom.

The pins on the Top row are numbered ODD.
The pins on the Bottom row are numbered EVEN.

Top row, starting from the Right side, going towards the Left;
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Bottom row, starting from the Right side, going towards the Left;
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8. There is NO pin 10.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light.
Pin 1 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the Harddrive activity LED light is dim, when the harddrive is active, switch the wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used.

C) Pin 9 is N/C. Not Connected. It is/was for the factory.

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light. A Power On LED light that has 2 wires.
Pin 2 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
If the Power On LED is dim when the computer is on, switch the wires around.

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

Looking at JFP2. (Junction Front Panel 2)
Vertical with two columns of pins.
3 on the Right side, 4 on the Left side.

The Right side is numbered EVEN.
The Left side is numbered ODD.

Starting at the Bottom on the Right side, going Up;

2008 Chevy Cobalt front right turn signal is not working. Back right signal blinks fast. Left signals work just fine. I tried replacing the bulb and it did not work. Do I need to replace the...

No - headlight ok.
The reason that the Right turn signal blinks fast is that there is half the normal load (resistance)
on the right side, since the Right front turn signal isn't working.
Since you replaced the Right front turn signal bulb, your problem lies in the bulb socket or
the wiring to the socket.
(1) try cleaning out the socket - there's probably a contact problem in the socket. You
may need to squeeze the contacts together to provide good contact to the socket contact.
(2) if contacts inside the socket are ok, try back-probing the socket - to make sure that the
socket is getting 12V DC to light the bulb. Replacing a bulb socket is easy, and commonly done.
Any auto parts dtore should be able to sell you a new socket - its just a matter of cutting out the
old one, and then splicing in the new one. Most shops will use small wire nuts, buried under several
wraps of E-tape (electrical tape).
(3) if bulb AND socket ok, you have the worst problem known to man - a wiring fault. In this case,
you'll want to run a new wire from the flasher module (under the dashboard) to the turn signal.

When changing the rear taillight bulb, now the right blinker doesn't work and niether tallight work. I changed left and right bulbs

beth your central problem goes back many years. for some reason bulb makers thought it would be funny if two electrically different bulbs physically fit into the same socket. those where the 1156 and 1157 bulbs. if you have ever driven down the road following someone who had one very bright tail light and one dim one, then you have seen this at work. When the round sockets turned into flat blade sockets this nonsense was continued. what you have done there is inadvertently put the wrong bulb into the wrong socket. half the guys working in repair shops and all the guys working in gas stations and all boyfriends and husbands, except me, are unaware of this and make the same mistake. if you have a 50/50 chance to get it right, the odds are against you.

You need to do some thinking about what the socket is for, are there two functions going on such as a tail light and a brake light, and which bulb then goes into which socket. there will be two more or less the same in appearance on either side. a dealer cam most likely set you straight on this for free.

At first my front right hand turn signal wasnt working. my husband thought that the bulb burned so we bought one..but when he went to change it he noticed it was the wrong one..and also when he lifted the...

Not expensive, Go back under the Hood and compare the wiring positions on the Left hand bulb to the RH. If this is all correct, then check the Ground connection of that lamp. When the Headlights are ON, the RH turn signal, is tacking a Ground from that Headlamp.

Good luck. DT

Did you connect the cables, (Wires), from the Front Panel to the Front Panel Connector, correctly?

Looking at the Front Panel Connector, observe where it has > 2, at the bottom.
(Right above the small round object with the Orange dot in it)
This is the Bottom of the Front Panel Connector

The pins are in Two columns.
The column on the Right side is numbered > Even
The column on the Left side is numbered > Odd

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch. (IF one is used)

C) Pin 9 is for the 5+ power

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch

F) There is NO Pin 10

The red light in front was blinking.the repair man said it was the power board.We replaced it , now the red light blinks 6 times then quits. There is no picture but when on you can here the sound.

A 6 blink SOS shutdown, you would want to be looking at the SC, SU and the SD boards. One of those boards is causing the malfunction. Possibly, but unlikly(I have to mention it for just in case reasons) the PDP panel could have blown those boards.

Just out of curiosity, what was the original problem that made you call the first repair guy?

LEFT FRONT HEAD LIGHT

Well, you are in luck.
I am a CATD dealership. In PA. Call this number: 1-800-331-4331
This is the Toyota Customer Experience Center. Explain your problem, and tell them that the dealership "neglected to properly inspect the HID transformer assembly" when it was under warranty. At best, they will assist you with the replacement of the part. Please advise of the outcome.
This is the best that I can do for you.
