Having trouble with my 2000 Heritage Classic shutting off while riding - was told by Harley Dealer it needed a new circuit breaker. Bought the breaker unable to find location of the breaker on the bike. Any tips on this?

Pull your seat and the fuses and breakers are at the rear fender. Fran [mechanic]

2000 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic main fuse/circuit breaker location

It's located behind breaker box you have to lay on ground and their are 2 10 mm bolts that hold on black fender in front of rear tire remove those and lift up the top just hooks on and slide all the way down following contour of tire and then you can see inside ant their will be a little box with two studs and wires on each post that is your 30 amp breaker

I just bought a used 2009 Heritage Classic. I currently have a 2004 Deuce. The Deuce has V&H pipes and the Heritage has some slip on pipes. I hear a whirling sound out of the Heritage and not out...

It could be the transmission that you're hearing. Harley changed the way they cut the gears in the '06 models I think. I'm not really sure because the Twin Cam powered bikes are not something I work on. I work on the older bikes. If you're concerned about the noise, take it to a dealer and let a mechanic ride it or if you have a friend that has a bike later than '06, swap bikes for a ride and see what you hear.

Good Luck
