1993 kawasaki vulcan...after about 20min of riding bike dies.won't start again for about 10min.
when I'm riding for about 20 min bike will feel slight hesitation then just die within seconds of first hesitation.
feels like no gas
but if I hit gas it dies faster.
does"nt show overheated / oil problem
bike won"t start again for about 10min then it starts right up. runs ok ( not rough / no backfire...) for another 20min /half hour
have tried gas cap loose and off -= no change.

Ok, a two stroke engine basicly needs 3 things to run: fuel, compression and ignition.
First, check that the fuelline, fuelfilter, or fueltap is not blocked. If the fuelflow is alright, check that the compression is fine. try kicking the kickstarter a few time: the should be a certain resistance. If the compression is wrong try changing the headgasket. If it is alright, check the ignition. This is done by taking the sparkplug out at placing it on the frame, when you kick the kickstarter a spark should jump from the sparkplug to the frame.
But my guess would be that you have a partly blocked fuelsystem.
Initially, have you checked the 30 Amps main fuse and its holder clips? It would be integrated with the starter relay. The fuse or the fuse holder may have heat related problem(s) causing it to loose conductivity when hot.The fuse may require replacement even if it tests good and/or the fuse holder would need cleaning / crimping. To locate the starter relay (main fuse), follow the battery cable from the + terminal of the battery.
