Hi, The brake light on my Kymco Hipster 125 (03) is not coming on with the brakes, however when I turn the headlight on to any setting the brake light activates. Have checked the switch at the front brake lever and this looks fine, have looked at the switch at the foot lever though I can't get inside the switch is seems to be moving fine. All cabling seems to be good, now totally out of ideas. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Strange but true I had a similar thing after going into my front area, what I had done is put the correctly wired wrong bulb in the indicator and vice versa into the side headlight, not an easy thing to do considering the two are physically separated but that's me, so then my side light was acting as indicator and my indicator was on constantly, in some way could you have done the same thing?

Check your fuses and if they're good, check the connections at the far end of the battery cables. If they are clean and tight, check the battery cables themselves for continuity. If all of the above are good, start troubleshooting from the keyswitch back. If you know which terminals to jump out at the keyswitch for the lights, jump them out; if the lights light up, suspect the switch.

What system does the Kymco Hipster 150 have?

I thight it might be fuel injected but it isn't. I has a standard carburetor, so the tank is standard gravity feed. Looks like the second tube might be a vacuum hose to suck tank fumes for emmisions control. Here is the manual.

Hi . where is the valve timing mark on my kymco-125 hipster cam -sprocket.

the valve timing mark is on the flywheel on the Hipster's.

Remove the large flat blade screw from the top of the left hand side casing. Turn the engine either by hand (using kickstart with ignition off), turning rear wheel in gear, or by removing the "kymco" badge with three 8mm bolts and using a 19mm deep socket on the crank, until you see two marks (one says F one say T) the F one is the advance firing mark, the T mark is the timing mark. Keep turning the engine over and watch your valves, wait for the exhaust valve to close, inlet valve to open and then close again then the next time you see the T line will be TDC. This is where you set your valve timing from.

Hi,iwould like to fit a remote starter on my agility 50,but it will not work becouse you have to hold the brake leaver in when starting..how do i disconect this on my scooter...it is a 2008 model.....thank...

you will have to use a relay. connect pin 85 on the relay to the negative out wire on the remote starter, this wire is the bypass wire, then connect pin 86 to constant 12volt, then pin 30 will goto 12 volt constant aswell and pin 87 will go to the wire on your brake leaver that sends 12 volts out (there is probibly 2 wires coming from the brake leaver switch) connect 87 to the one that does not have 12volts on it at rest
