This could be because the generator belt too tight or water pump pulley or the bearing lubrication generator pulley side, plus the cold start when the pressure is too large, which issued abnormal sound. There may be due to the belt slip slightly, abnormal sound caused. The engine if the idle speed is low, coupled with the engine machine claw installation position is improper, also in the engine jitter, friction machine claw and support on the body will lead to abnormal sound. find some useful car diagnostic tool to Test out the problem.
Hi sharun,
We should never increase the rpm . What comes from factory is the best . Sometimes in cold condition The will give you hiccup .so we increase the rmp otherwise no need
MORE RPM LESS MILEAGE
Sounds like an isolated problem. While it's true that VW Beetles use a lot of oil, it sounds like you are loosing an abnormally high amount if your having to add oil every month. If it's not leaking out it has to be burning out through the engine. A good indicator of loosing too much oil through the engine is a white smoke coming from your exhaust.
Just a guess, may be you have not unlocked the scanner.
On the bottom side there is lock for transporting the scanner. Turn the scanner upside down and check. Put it into the unlock position.
As I said it is just a guess. If this doesn't work, let me know.
sounds like you have a rod bearing knocking. does it do it when it in park and rev the engine an hold it at a steady rpm like around 3000rpm do you hear the tak tak tak tak now?
You can exchange it with one that is inner cooled and turboed But thats $1500.00 in parts plus the engine and labor. Your best bet is to find out what is wrong with your engine and rebuild it. As long as there are no major damages.
