At least this is a easy bike to change the coolant on. on the LH side of the motor on the bottom you will see the lower rad hose it goes into the water pump. There are two ways to drain the coolant, ! you can remove the hose, this is the fastest wat to drain all coolant or you can remove the bolt with the copper washer from the water pump cover. I would sugguest the drain bolt. Now that you know where to drain it from lets get it ready to drain. You will have to remove the gas tank to make things easier. or at least pull it back toward the seat without the bolts in it. The filler neck for you ride will be on the rh side in the front of the bike by the neck. there is platic cover you will have to remove to get to it. Once you have reached the filler neck remove the cap, remove the drain bolt from the water pump cover NOTE the coolant will be coming out of a small hole and will shot out far BE READY.
To fill the bike simply put the drain bolt back in and fill with your choice of coolant. I personally use only Liquid performance in any and all of my bike. I raced dirt bikes in the desert with the stuff and love it never one lick to trouble out of the stuff. They make coolant for street and dirt bike along with other products. after you think the bike is full give it a few mins to work out any air bubbles and top off.
I hope this has been helpful and if you need any other help please feel free to contact me

Place a clean oil drain pan under the left rear motor cover. Remove the rear motor cover that is where the water pump with the system drain screw is located. With the radiator cap still on take out the drain bolt at the bottom of the water pump cover (Part # 19).

This will usually pull the fluid out of the over flow bottle with out having to syphon the overflow bottle. If the fluid refuses to flow, take off the radiator cap located on the right front underside of the tank (Part #9). Be careful the fluid will come out quickly now. It is not critical to change the over flow bottle anti freeze, but if the replacement coolant is a different color It's all about appearance. The over flow bottle is located by your left heel. Part # 11.

Replace the drain plug. If the washer is not in good order replace it. A suitable replacement can often be found at a hardware or auto store if no dealers are near by.
You will need a gallon of non silica style anti freeze mixed 50/50 with distilled water. GM Dexcool or any motor sports antifreeze that does not have scrubbing particles in it will do. The scrubbing particals in regular automotive antifreeze can damage to the ceramic washer in the water pump. Fill the radiator to the top and put on the cap. Fill the over flow bottle to the top and put on the cap. Start the bike and take it for a short drive to warm the engine and circulate the system. Let the bike cool and top up the radiator and the coolant bottle as needed.Warning : do not take the radiator cap off of a hot motor you could get scalded by hot fluid.
There is a petcocke on bottom of radiator to open and drain fluid. Then refill through tube or highest part of radiator with 50/50 mixture.

this should help. thanks.Helpmech.
The procedure as follows:---
Start WITH COOL ENGINE:--------
Locate water pump cover on engine, place container underneath then remove drain bolt (the 1 with the copper sealing washer).
Only a drip will come out until you undo the pressure cap when it will shoot out. Alternatively drain by undoing a radiator hose hose at the lowest possible point.
Then flush with tap water (garden hose is good)
Refit drain bolt or hose & refill with coolant (or flushing agent & water if neccesary)
Give all hoses a good squeeze to expel any trapped air & top up if needed
Refit pressure cap, check for leaks, run engine for 2-3 mins then let it cool before rechecking coolant level.Top up the expansion tank.------------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
