I have a 1988 Yamaha Radian YX600. The fuel **** leaks gas flooding the carbs or just running out on ground. This occurs now even when I try to ride the bike.
Other than buying another one, cost about $165, to solve the problem? I could not find any kits to rebuild it. Any help is very much appreciated.
Again no kit for my bike. One mechanic thought was not in pet **** but try fuel needels again. Said same problem occurs when the needle does not seat properly. I ordered new ones to see if that fixes the problem.Again no kit for my bike. One mechanic thought was not in pet **** but try fuel needels again. Your Radian has 4 Mikuni carbs. If just one has a stuck float or one set incorrectly it will overflow with gas and run out. The bike will run poorly if at all. You need to pull all the carbs and clean them thoroughly. Check you r fuel line too for leaks and cracks. Make sure your air filter is clean and the boot going to the carbs from the airbox. Check the boots on both sides of the carbs for cracks. Air leaks can cause the idle issues you describe but you have to fix the overflowing carbs first which might fix all of it. Make sure you have a nice large work area, don't lose the small jets or strip the bolts. This answer is directly for your issue you have presented. Good luck!
