G'day.
If the previous owner used full synthetic oil then I recomend you do so too.
As a general rule it is not recomended to mix synthetic & mineral oils together.
Also as a general rule-most synthetic oils are of a higher quality & performance over mineral or semi synthetic oils.
You technicaly can use a non synthetic oil, but you would need to drain it all & also replace the oil filter,before re-filling with mineral or semi synthetic oil.
Hope this helps.
regards Andrew Porrelli

What kind of oil do i use for a 2000 dodge carivan?

ENGINE OIL

You will need to use a 10W-30 grade engine oil, such as any of the following Mobil products.
"Fully synthetic" oils are more expensive. Conventional oils or syn blend engine oils are fine for the vehicle but need to be changed more frequently.

Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10W-30
fully synthetic motor oil ;

fully synthetic motor oil;

Mobil Clean 7500 10W-30
synthetic blend motor oil ;
spacer.gif Mobil Clean High Mileage 10W-30
a conventional motor oil;

How much and what of oil is the best kind of oil for a yamaha r1 2007 with 8000 miles

Full synthetic oil will work the best for your bike. Synthetic has been over-engineered in a good way.

P.S: DO NOT USE car synthetic oil as they have TOO MUCH friction modifiers (not good for wet clutch).

I HAVE A 06 ROADLINER 1900 FIRST OIL CHANGE I USED YAMAHA OIL SYN. BLEND, BECAUSE DEALER SAID FULL SYN. WOULD CAUSE CLUTCHS TO SLIPP.WANT IS THE BEST OIL TO USE AND FULL OR SYN. BLEND

I also have an 06 Roadliner. I use 20w50 Lucas sythetic motorcycle oil with great results. Will later switch to Rotell T Synthetic 5w40 (Dark Blue Jug at Walmart) as it costs alot less than Lucas.

Oil type choice

For the best results use a full synthetic oil - not a synthetic blend. When you change oil filters add an Engine Sentry to the filter.,,
