If it's not turning over then the problem will be on the firing. If there's no current to the plugs, the engine won't fire up. Few things to look at to resolve the issue... First, the ignition coil can be faulty. Second, The ignition switch can be faulty. Third will be the starter. If it's faulty, it won't kick the flywheel. One good reason why it won't turn over.

How to check if timing chain is the problem for 1993 GMC senoma 2.8L 6, maual trans wont start. Fuel pump works fine, sends fuel to motor, new distributor.

timing chain check....place cylinder 1 at end of compression then the timing mark place at 0 distributor rotor should be to number 1 cylinder. if not timing chain could be out of teeth
3 major things for engine is air,fire,fuel.then you say you change the distributor ....is it in good position???

1993 GMC Jimmy won't throttle up..changed fuel pump...sounds like fuel is running back into tank

Check fuel pressure regulator.Start engine hook fuel gauge to fuel line check pressure ready then pull the vacuum hose of the fuel regulator if pressure rises 5-10 psi then its good.

Wont start

check fuel pump turn the key on and listen for a buzzing sound coming from the fuel tank if not then your fuel pump is done. try hitting the bottom of the tank and seeing if that helps to get it to a garage to fix it.

Fuel pump blowing fuses

replace the fuel pump relay, it is burned closed from the shorted fuel pump.
