Hello there: Normally when a microwave stops heating but all else works there are only a couple of things that can be bad First is the megatron This is the part that converts the elevtrical energy stored in the power inverter into thermal heat and the second is the power inverter this is the part that coverts the down to a usable wattage of energy for the megarton I will post a picture of both below The only way to test them is to use a ohm meter and unplug the part and use the meter to see if you are getting any type of reading any reading under 1100 would be a bad part ok look at part 73 and 75
We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are working.
You may have a shorted cooling fan relay on the control circuit board.
We
regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide by
mail for $39.95 postpaid with a one-year
guarantee.
Or you can order a whole new control circuit board (smart board) here.
Feel free to contact me directly (and
please include your full model number from the tag in or on the
unit) for a free estimate and free tips & do-it-yourself advice.

You know that you have to unplug the microwave first, right? Then you have to either wait a good while (I like a couple of days) or short out the current.
The fuse is located on the right side, behind the control panel at the top. You have to remove the vent cover (three screws) in the front, then the screws holding the control panel up ( I didn't remove mine, I let it rest on a pot to take the weight off the connectors). The fuse is on a small horizonal electronic board located 6 inches behind where the top of the control panel normally is attached.
You do NOT have to remove the oven, but it's small hands work, or great needle nose. You get the fuses for about 3 for $2.00 at Radio Shack.
But I bet that isn't you whole problem. Something caused it to blow.
