Question edited for clarity, changed 'carbonator', (a thing that puts bubbles in soda) to a carburetor (a device that atomises gasoline).
The new battery is fine, in fact 6 amps is better. It has more staying power and will start the bike easier in cold weather. It is better for your lighting as well. The problem is likely to be that your battery is not fully charged when you got it. Put it on a 2 amp battery charger for 8 hours.
These two adverts have 4 amp and 7 amp as suitable.
clean ur carbs they have ever so tiny holes in ur jets and it dont take much to get them clogged if it sat over winter and u did not start once a week or put anything in ur gas to stable it ur gas will turn to slug and clog them also check air fuilter
Check with a multi tester for voltage coming through the ignition switch lead wires + to switch wire - to ground you shoul get 12volt or higher, with the switch off you should have one live (feed from battery ), on you should have 2 or 3 in and out feed (possibly 2 out one for ignition one for light curuit), or disconnect the switch and check for continuity (12v battery wire and a bulb if you dont have a multi tester between each pin on the switch plug when turned on you should get a curcuit when on.
try some WD-40 not a lot just a squirt inside let it sit for awhile and then slowly with some pressure try to get it worked in..try a little more lube if that doesnt work your gonna need to take it off and take it to a locksmith they might be able to repair it!
