After extended riding, the bike has no obvious issues such as overheating or anything...but it will on occasion just die and won't restart. I'm fairly certain it's vapor lock, my question is, what are people doing to resolve this issue?

If the battery overheated and smelt like rotten eggs the problem lies in the charging circuit, have the alternator and voltage regulator checked out at a bike shop

More likely to be your ignition coils. They heat up and expand this can cause an open circuit which will close up again when it has cooled down. Although, a bad charging system may cause this problem. Check the battery voltage with engine switched off ( approx 12 volts) and with the engine running (approx 14 volts) If you are getting 14 volts then your battery is dead, if you aren't, then your charging system has a fault.

Check your coil and the cdi, sounds like they may be overheating and shutting down. Also check for possible vapor lock.

its not overheating check water and also check to see if fan is coming on

First the obvious: are you slowing too much with the clutch engaged? You might try downshifting as you decelerate. Before doing anything more, you might add Marvel Mystery Oil or Sea Foam to the gasoline, according the the manufacturer's directions, and see if the symptoms disappear, which could indicate a dirty fuel system.

I wouldn't make any adjustments at all until checking my technique in deceleration, and trying a harmless but often beneficial additive.

This is going to be a problem with the starter. When a starter is getting a bit on the worn side, high temps will cause the electric motor not to engage creating the same clicking sound as if the battery was dead or had a bad contact.
