Had the same problem & took my f-act 50 back to dealer, he removed seat and adjusted the large brass idle screw on the carb; idled it up, small turn, reinstalled seat, haven't had anymore problems

Does my 96 Suzuki GS500E sidestand have to be up for my bike to start?

The stand needs to be up to start the bike in gear unless you pull in the clutch, but you should be able to start it in neutral with the clutch in and the stand down.if You put it in gear with the clutch in and the stand down as soon as you let the clutch out it will cut out.it's a safety thing introduced by Suzuki due to an American sueing Kawasaki years ago for being able to ride the bike a bike with the stand down,he fell off and sued them for his own stupidity.

Bike cutting out

Do you have the kickstand up when you put it in gear? Many bikes have a lockout on the side stand to prevent you riding away with the stand down. Kills the engine instantly when placed in gear with the stand down.

I have a 2008 hyosung gt250r. All of a sudden it has started this issue. Where i start the bike in neutral then go to get first gear and the bike just cuts out each time..so ive had to start off in second...

The problem is the side stand cut out switch - it allows you to start the bike to warm it up on the side stand but if you true to ride off with the side stand down the bike will cut out reminding you the stand is down.
If you bike is cutting out when putting it into gear after starting it is definitely the cut out switch - check the side stand there will be a switch around it some where close to were it bolts onto the frame.

Stand cut out

Possibly, but you can short it out to prove the switch. try pulling the clutch in when you start. The stand cut out should only cut the engine if the bike is in gear.

Were is the fuil filtter

some bikes/scooters are fitted with safety device an engine cut off when on the side stand, look at the side stand the may be what looks like a pin on it and when the stand is down the pin will be pushed in. if it stalls on the main stand i had a friend who's bike had a safety feature of which it wouldn't start with the back wheel in the air. depends on which stand it happens

My bike starts no problem drives great but when i stop the bike and turn it of it wont start ihave to jump it in gear and of she goesits a 00 125 intruder lc its been sitting up for 4years veeery clean...

Sounds like the cut out switch on the kick stand. The bike shouldn't start if you have the kick stand down. Check the kick stand is fully retracted and that the switch is disengaging OK. Maybe the stand is slightly loose & its making contact even when retracted. Otherwise check the kill switch. Both parts are available cheaply on ebay & easy to replace.

Bike cuts out when i put it in gear,,,,,,,,,,,,1990 xt 600

Might be a problem with your side stand switch, if the bike thinks the stand is down then every time you put it into gear it's going to cut out. Try manually operating the switch. You can also disconnect the side stand switch and connect the wires on the loom side directly together in case the switch itself is faulty and can't close the circuit to allow starting.

Bike wont start up unless i put the side stand up

The bike could be fitted with a side stand cut off switch. this is to stop the rider driving off with the side stand down. also if the bike is in gear the bike should not start, this is linked to the clutch/gears. AGAIN IT STOPS THE RIDER FIRING UP THE BIKE AND THE NEXT thing he is aware of is his bike either taking off with out him or hitting a wall or car etc.
hope this helps
