A fully maintained battery does not guarantee a good battery. The fast click is almost always caused by insufficient power. If you've checked the connections, try jumping from another 12v battery. If that gets the crank to turn, have the battery load-tested, or just replace the battery.
A new battery installed by you is still going to be far cheaper than having a mechanic diagnose this, and if a new battery doesn't do it, it's very likely the starter getting old, dragging, and drawing more power than the battery can deliver.

make sure
- gear is not engaged
- side stand is folded in
- Check user guide, there are a few other things that can prevent the bike from starting.
