Alot of four strokes will lock up like this they get vapor locked the best thing to do is let it set do not try and start it until it free's up it could bend the valves but i dont kno about the smoking unless you tried to start it while locked up

I have a 2002 suzuki rm 250 2 stroke i think the piston hit the spark plug would that cause it not be be able to kick start its stuck

sounds like you have a lower rod bearing failure, and ya that would cause it not to be able to kick start

2008 rmz 250 4 stroke i was riding it and all of a sudden it cut off and now the kick start wont move but shift through gears just fine i think the top end is locked up i'm not sure could the piston of...

Remove the spark plug, put the bike in fourth or fifth gear then try a jump start but with the key turned off. If the rear wheel locks up when you jump on and release the clutch then the piston has probably seized up OR the kick start-to-clutch hub gearing is messed up. The best thing to do is to remove the left engine side cover and look at the kick start mechanism. You may need to remove the clutch assembly for a full inspection. With the clutch removed the rotor ( crankshaft flywheel ) should turn. If it will not turn then a seized piston, broken cam chain or dropped valve is likely. If the rotor does turn then the kick start mechanism is the problem. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

Rode my 2004 rm 250 for 2hrs, as soon as i got to truck it died

Sounds like fuel restriction causing lean mixture. Look for debris in carb float bowl and jets .

I have a 2003 rm 250 2 stroke that died on me and now locked up.

sounds to me like shes nipped up in the bore possibly to a broken ring or lack of oil or coolant unfortunately the damage is done you will have to remove the cylinder head & barrell to determine how much check the oil pump for blockage & function was there adequate oil in the tank alsowas the coolant resevior full at the least it will need a set of rings & the cylinder honed at worst big end bearings if the bottom ends locked up this involves splitting the cases so for your sake I hope my initial diagnoses is corrrect

Think i put too much 2 stroke in my rm 250 now it wont start

Drain the fuel and refill it with the correct ratio fuel, it may take a few kicks, but it should start. Cleaning the plugs would not go astray either.

Hot starter

4 stroke engines require a leaner than normal fuel/air mixture to start when hot. The cold start choke allows more fuel into the mix. The hot start choke allows more air into the mix.
