I bought a 1989 fzr 600 today and it started fine,ran fine all the way home(about 17 miles)got home turned it off, came out 10 min later and tried to start it and nothing,well tail lights still came on but...

Does this machine have an aftermarket fairing? If so, the wiring that normally connects everything together within the headlight shell may not have been done very well when extended into the fairing shell. The main fuse which is usually only a short distance from the battery and connected into the '+' wire from the battery (not the heavy cable that powers the starter) if blown, kills power to all lights, engine, and etc..

91 yamaha fzr engine turns but wont start

the floats in the carb are stuck. you can try lightly tapping on the carb with a screwdriver that should do the trick.
