I have had several bikes in my time. and keeping the carbs syncranized is very important. Did you put aftermarket pipes on it? try rejeting the carbs up 2+mm that may help the fuel air ratio?

SOURCE: fzr 600 got killer spark pulls fuel valves in

This is not the news you probably want to hear but backfiring thru the carbs when you have good spark can be one of 2 things... either the valves are sticking / not closing properly due to carbon or the cam timing has shifted from the original position.

It would be best to do a compression test. You should have a minimum of 100 PSIG for an engine with major problems and up to 150 for a healthy engine. If you can not get 100 PSIG then it will be time for some serious engine service.

There is a possibility of the kill switch wire in the handle bar grip grounding under the grip to the handlebar but, since you said you have killer spark I doubt this is your problem.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My name is justin i am 19 i have a 1991 yamaha fzr 600 and it kepps popping through first the first part of second my dad use to own a bike shop he said it was my piolit screws so he adjusted them it runs...

There isn't really a "correct" setting for the pilot screws. They're all set differently from the factory, based on the individual carb settings. You'll basically need to start at a baseline of 1.5-2 turns from seated (lightly seated) and work them in/out from there.

The first thing you should do before you go bothering to mess with settings, though, is clean your carbs thoroughly. Blow carb cleaner and compressed air through any of the passages in the carb body you can find, except the ones that lead up to the diaphragms, if you have CV carbs. You only need about 30 PSI if you can regulate your line pressure. Even a can of compressed air from Kmart will do, the stuff they use to blow out keyboards and such.

If you're really into time consuming stuff, you can buy a couple cans of compressed butane lighter fluid, and blow that through the pilot holes and such... you'll need a straw that fits on it, though. You'll be amazed what a good carb cleaning can do for a bike, as well as carb synchronizing. You can find specific directions for your fuzzer's carbs on just about any bike forum.

The intake of the carburator has a screw does it need any graduation for the fzr 600 1994

There are too many screws on the carbs, of which there are 4 of them, to be able to answer your question.
Here is a diagram of your carbs. If you could identify which screw you are asking about, then I could answer your question.

1993 fzr sitting for 5 years ?? Where do i start?

Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Is there any water or trash in the bowl? (not all bikes have a water trap bowl). Install an in-line fuel filter. Use premium gas. You will need to clean the built up varnish from the evaporated gas out of the carbs.

FOR EACH CARB > Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Remove the idle screw and the air screw on the outside throat of the carb and spray into the screw holes as well.
< < READ CLOSELY > >
Be sure to put these two screws back in the same hole they came out of. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two screws down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each screw one and one half turns outward. Put the rest of the
carb back together, clean the air filter and install the carb. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine.

I strongly suggest you to let the shop take care of the carbs. Cleaning can be a nightmare times four and doing the balancing and sync of the carbs sounds easier than it is. If you do the carb work yourself, then be sure you have a fire extinguisher at hand. I am serious about that.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

Bike won't start 92 yamaha fzr 600

Sounds like the plugs are fouled out, I would pull them and make sure they're about the color of a paper bag. If they're all sooty and wet you most likely have a rich condition. I would take the carbs out and clean everything and pop in a new set of plugs. I have a 87 Fz600 that was acting up until I cleaned the carbs.
