Been using before a scooter, Preferably changing the belt is actually depends on how you use your bike everyday i.e, you use it to go to work or use it as a utility vehicle. If you are just using the bike just to go to work I can say that you change the belt when it reaches 6 to 8 months, and if you are using it as a utility vehicle and carries a lot of loads everyday my advise is change it every after 2 to 3 months just to make sure.

Cheers . . .

When should i change the timing belt on my grand vitara there is 46000 kl/m on the clock, and also how often should i change the engine oil.

For most all timing belts, the 100,000 mile marker is when the belt should be changed. The belts are designed to work for 100+ thousand miles, but recommended checking/changing is at 100K miles.

When should a serpentine belt be changed? How many miles?

It ranges from 40,000 Miles on up. A visual inspection showing cracks in the belt mean immediate change regardless of miles. Some recommend 50,000 mile intervals and as the belts improve in materials. some go longer than that.

The damage that can be prevented by keeping fresh belts on the car is worth the extra belt change over 10's of thousands of miles. Really easy to consider to do 2 changes in 100,000 miles or 3 changes in 100,000 -120,000 miles. You are talking an extra $25 to not break down, trash a radiator, tear up A/C and Radiator lines, or blow an engine. Cheap Insurance.

Engine

200,000-300,000 miles if you keep up with oil changes and belt changes especially the timing belt this is usually the most important belt if it brakes you'll need a new engine. Change this belt around 80-100,000 miles.

How often do you change a timing belt in a 1995 toyota corolla?

Provided the belt that is to be used is a high quality belt such as a Gates brand the belt can safely last for 80,000 to 90,000 miles before needing to be changed. As for the original belt usually for hondas it's 100,000 miles Toyotas about the same 100,000 to 110,000 miles, check with your local dealership's service department for you cars original belt Suzukis and kias are about 90,000 miles.

Cam Belt change

Hello mike_potts07: My name is Roger and I will answer your question. The suggested miles to change your timing belt is 60,000 miles. This is manufacturers recommended service interval. Also this motor is an interference motor. What that means is if the timing belt breaks. The valves in the head will be hit by the pistons. This will bend all valves that are open at that time.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. This way we can tell the information was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
