Hi, Francissande for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Kawasaki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

Put a carby kit through it and clean, inspect and blow all ports through, check intake rubbers for any leaks, (pin holes can change air fuel ratio) Especially check for obstructions in your idle/bypass jet, do the kit first so you know its right, then tune your idle mix until steady.

find the coils and check the terminals with a tester to see if power is getting to them. if it is then it could be the coils or ht leads/ caps
if no power at coil then problem is between battery and coil or in the kill switch. check all ground / earth terminals you can find also
good luck, ride safe

Clean your carbs! Your floats might be sticking open a bit. Plus, all Kawasakis have a simple spring-actuated check valve in the fuel valve. This way, you can disconnect the fuel line without having to block the flow. Fuel could be leaking through the check valve. Your problem most liklely identifies dirty gasoline. Clean out your tank, your carbs, and change your fuel filter.

Bottom of motor there is about a 31/2" round cover with a bolt through the middle thats the filter you may have to remove the exhaust to get to it on your bike
