The screen just keeps saying that windows didnt start succesfully and it gives me 5 options to start none of which works please help??

If all the the options in the Advance option wont work. 1.Removed your battery, ac adapter and drain you power button for 5 to 10 seconds. 2. Used only ac adapter and turn on the laptop keep on tapping f8 3. Tried any option again. first choice would be last known good configuration. then try safemode 4.If you are successful in going to safemode, try to do system restore. If it fails to load all oftions, and you dont have any important files -Try to reboot pc and hit f3 to reset the computer to factory setting. it will open a prompt to do a complete restore. If f3 does not work- the recovery partition is already corrupted. -You need to call MSI tech support to get a recovery disc from MSI -You need to resinstall the Operating System.

What Can I Do to start Windows Successfully?
If its doing this then it looks like you have a faulty file on your windows set up, or a faulty hard disk so windows cannot read the files. boot up with your windows install disk there should be an option to repar your windows installation try this also you can use command line, to run a chkdsk on the drive.

Whenever i start or restart my system, it asks me to select the windows and simultaneously i hear continuous beeps When i press F12 or F2 the beeps stop On this screen i also get option for Memory...
If it's still under warranty, take it back. That's the best option.
If not you should be able to find your problem on the Windows website.

It is stuck in a loop the screen goes from the IBM logo to a screen explaining that windows didnt start successfully to windows starting up to a blue error screen and then repeating.
You can have your T42 working again by doing the following:

1. In the windows didnt start succesfully screen choose to boot in safe mode with command prompt
2. when it starts, enter the command chkdsk (that means check disk)
3. accept all the changes done by running the command above and restart your laptop
4. everything should be OK now

I am using HP pavilion with Windows xp OS installed on. When i turn the power on, a black screen saying "sorry for the inconvenience, but windows did not started succesfully, -safe mode, safe mode...
You need to find your "Operating System CD" sometimes they give you this sort of stuff with your computer but if not, find one from somewhere. Put the CD in when the computer starts and you will see a message saying "Press any key to boot CD" or something similar, boot the CD and press install Windows XP - when you have pressed F8 to agree to Terms and Conditions, it will give you an option to overwrite your current system or Repair. Click repair and it will start installing stuff. DONT WORRY - its not deleting your information its just fixing your computer. When the installation has finished, you will be sorted! - Make sure its a Microsoft windows XP CD though, otherwise you cannot repair your system.

Laptop wont even attempt to load windows??
With this kind of problem, you must put in the Windows software disk and boot. Then select repair Windows from the list. This option will attempt to correct the problem.
If you do not have the disc, boot into the repair / diagnostic mode from the boot screen. See if there is an option to create boot disks.

Enter Bios Setup and make sure that your CD-ROM devise is liosted as first boot device. Then try to start computer with XP CD
