To your issue...Check all connections and the Brake Light Switch. With a Tester. you should have 12vdc on one terminal and without Brake Pedal Pressed No Voltage on the other one. Have someone to press and hold foot brake down to check the other terminal..Should have 12-13.8 vdc if you are getting Power on the oter side of this Brake Light Switch. If not, Replace or take a wet/ DRY Vacuum cleaner. Remove that Pressure switch and Vacuum that out . clean inside with Brake spray Cleaner. Re-Vacuum then Re-install. May work if issue is at this Brake Light Switch having -2 Terminals. Hopes This Helps.

To begin with, there is no relay for the brake light. That thing you hear clicking is a circuit breaker. You probably have a short circuit between the rear brake light switch underneath the bike and the brake light itself. If the tail lights work, then you know what circuit is ok.

Look at your rear brake master cylinder. Find the metal line coming out of it going to the rear of the bike. In that line, under the bike, you'll find a pressure switch. This is the rear brake light switch. The front brake light switch is located in the right side handlebar switch housing. If neither switch works the brake light, odds are you have a short circuit in the wiring from the rear brake light switch to the rear brake light itself.

Good Luck
Steve

Brake lights will not work

Check that you have power to the rear of vehicle and check to see if you have power at that brake light switch. If you do then you might check all your grounds.

Tail light is not lighting up in my 2000 ford expedition

brake and turn are the same filament in the bulb. Try a new bulb. if that doesn't work your going to chase a short/ground on that wire back to the switch. get a wiring diagram to help.

The brake lights do not want to work. i have changed the brake switch under the dash and the bulbs on the tail lights.still nothing. i also, changed fuses.

does the high mounted brake light work? the brake switch has 2 contacts one for the high mount (LT BLUE/BLACK) and one for the tail brake lights. The tail/brake light wire is LIGHT BLUE. the main connector between the brake light switch and the tail lights is C208 which is located behind the rear seat, left side. So if there is power coming out of the brake switch OK and no power at the tail lights, check that connector. Hope this helps.

When i press brake pedal driver side brake light quits working but other wise it works fine?

That has a double filament bulb in it. One is for the tail light and the other for the brake and maybe the turn signal. If your turn signal flashes the tail light and not an individual turn signal bulb it will behave the same way. The way it works is that the tail light filament goes off and the brighter brake light filament comes on. The brake light half of the bulb is out. If you change it, change the passenger side too, it will do the same shortly if you leave it in. They tend to go bad in pairs. Good luck.

tail lights work on a different filament than the rest of the lights you mentioned, it is possible both bulbs are burned out for that filament. if not, check the fuses as the tail light circuit in some cars is on a seperate fuse. the remaining possibility could be bad socket contacts.

Left Tail Light not coming on

Sounds like one of two possibilites, the light itself may be a double filiament meaning there is one bulb which does both tail light and brake. One of the filiaments in the bulb could be burned out, try changing the bulb. If not that, then the realy might be damaged which gives power to the tail light. It's a bit of a bigger problem to diagnose.
