Check the tyre size to manufacturers specifications, if it is correct than have your suspension looked at, maybe it has worn out or it has been lowered by previous owner!!!

Why is it swaying sideways a lot?

Check for loose or worn suspension components. My XJ8 became unstable when a rear tie rod became worn. To check jack up rear wheels. If you can rock either of them left and right that might be your problem.

2001 s type jaguar - humming noise from 15mph and increases and changes tone as speed increases. might be coming from the wheel area. have new tyres, but have not had the wheels rebalanced as get slight...

could just be tire noise, but I'd get the tires checked for maybe a tread coming loose,, also, get the tires balanced, and check the wheel bearings ,

My s type jaguar pirelli tyre is losing 15 lb pressure evry week tyre is in ecellent overall condition how can this be fixed

Rims can have tiny cracks too. A water test, where the wheel is completely submerged might show the source of the leak.

I just bought this car and it seems like it has really loud road noise, are they all like this? I wouldn't think so. My last car was a 2001 Buick Park Avenue and alot quieter. What might be the problem?

hi.

they are NOT all like that. mine certainly isn't.

the most common cause of excessive road noise is the wrong tyre pressure.

i normally run mine on 32 psi on the front and 34 psi on the rear

i have had problems in the past with some tyre tread patterns causing road noise on particular types of road surface.

check the tyre pressures first.

if the noise persists, feel free to ask for more ideas and solutions

Jaguar x type 19" alloy wheel upgrade but rear wheels rub on arch

I really don't think you will be able to use those rims and tires, probably the biggest is going to be 18" wheels. The 8.5" rim is too wide. An 18" came as the stock size on the sport package for the Jag, it's 7.5 wide. I don't think who sold them to you really knew if they would fit or not. Without wheel spaces and raising the suspension, I don't think they'll work on the car.

2003 x-type sport suspension is chewing up inside of rear tires what can i do? already replaced shocks, swaybar links & bushings

Your best bet is to break down and go to a good repair shop for a 4 wheel alignment. Most shops give a flat rate on alignments which means you will pay one price regardless of time it takes. Most modern cars have alignment adlustments on the rear suspension as well as front. Also certain vehicles are very sensitive to tire rotations.Make sure you don't exceed manufactures mile recomendations on rotations.Having it done at the proper times can in some cases double tire life.
