If your carb is stock, the only thing you can adjust is the idle speed. The throttle stop screw is located at the top right of the carb. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle speed.
To adjust the idle mixture, you'll have to drill out the anti-tamper plug on the backside of the carb. This will require the removal of the carb from the engine. Turn the carb upside down and look just to the rear of the float bowl. Do not drill too deeply to remove this plug or you'll damage the idle mixture needle and they are NOT available separately from the dealer. Drill just deep enough to go through the plug. Tap the hole for a small screw, insert the screw and use a pair of pliers to pull the plug out. Some of them are in pretty tight. Put the carb back on the engine. Start the engine and bet it ot operating temp. Adjust the idle mixture screw for the best idle and then set the idle speed at about 1000 RPM.
Good Luck
