Hi , my suzuki Bandit GSF 600 2002 plate, off road 4 years... only 2000 miles on clock...would not idle ..cutting out after 10mins when put choke in ....try to rev cuts out...drained and flushed out petrol tank and carbs.. new plugs and battery...tried no air filter...gave to motorcycle mechanic now..told him problems.. says will be carbs ,strip and clean out carbs... 2 weeks later...can get bike idling with choke..revving up to 6000rpm...but very rough so has stripped carbs several times, checked fuel filter, vacuum hoses, jets , floats, diaphrams, .. cylinder compressions checked all fine ....took bike out for run but will not give full power and cuts out...says might be need set of new carbs....so bike was off road and garaged okay ..I know water in petrol rust etc...nothing found in fuel filters..suddenly now need new carbs..he said carbs balanced everything looks fine but wont run right... when puts hand over carbs inlet bike picks up for a while then suddenly misfiring due too much fuel...feels carbs are still the issue but everything set up right and balanced ???? has also tried swapping jets around.even tried with fuel cover open any ideas, can it be electrical ??? or still fuel problem or carb problem..thanks john

Christmas comes early. Go to the site below and you can download a free PDF service manual. Yours is the 1st one in the "Suzuki GSF" section of the list. 4 or 5 below that is a PDF parts diagram with part numbers.

http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.

Top rating due for this answer! Thanks Asel :)

SOURCE: front rim for my 1991 gsf 400 bandit

No. The gs500 has rotor on right side. 600s have two rotors. The following website will let you compare part numbers. http://www.suzukipartshouse.net/pages/parts/viewbybrand/parts.aspx

SOURCE: gsf 250 p 1992 bandit manuals

Manuals for the 89-95 gsf 250 bandit are only online due to it being an import bike but most suzuki dealers will print you off the pages that you need and assist you with any information required.

Will not run without choke 1997 Suzuki GSF 1200 Bandit S

Hello, bike not running off of choke is an indication that the pilot circuit in the carbs is plugged.. the choke is a enriching circuit hence why it runs only with the choke on. When turned off the bike starves for fuel and dies. My guess is the bike has sat for longer than 4 months and the pilot jets are plugged from varnish... they will need to be removed and properly cleaned.

How do you change the choke cable on a gsf 400 bandit

Once you remove the gas tank, it will be very obvious. Cable easily comes out of the thumb mechanism easily when you take it apart.
