I bought a new battery and had my starter built.I drove my bike about a 1/4 mile and it died on me.I jump it and it started right up but it cut off again before I made it home.PLEASE HELP!

2002 yahama v-star 1100 does not charge the battery

Check the regulator and alternator/diode pack. If the regulator is faulty that could be you problem.
